We built ReviewMe because we watched competing tools encourage home service operators to game review platforms — filter unhappy customers out of the funnel, withhold the review link until someone said something nice in a survey, send eight follow-up texts in a single week. It works in the short term and it gets you penalized in the long term.
We talked to plumbers, HVAC installers, landscapers, and electricians. The pattern was always the same: they were doing genuinely good work, their best customers loved them, and almost none of those customers were leaving reviews. Meanwhile, the angry minority who paid for upselling at 8pm on a Saturday were writing essays on Google.
